| SIGAL Construction Corporation is one of the oldest locally owned and operated builders in the Washington Metropolitan Region. SIGAL has provided construction services for area clients for more than 30 years in many different forms. SIGAL is the perfect sized contractor for projects in the Washington, DC area. SIGAL has a single corporate office that oversees all of its daily operations. This allows us to better serve our clients from one office with all of the necessary personnel located in a single place. SIGAL is large enough to bond large construction projects, but small enough to provide a knowledgeable, tenured staff and detailed attention to every single contract we accept.
Construction Management
There are many different ways in which an owner may choose to enter into a contract with a builder. One of SIGAL's preferred methods of performing construction services is through construction management. In a construction management agreement, the contract is negotiated. SIGAL (and if the owner desires, the Architect) mutually agree upon subcontractor selection. SIGAL can furnish a list of pre-qualified subcontractors for the owner and Architect to strike from or add too. Then SIGAL, acting as the owner's agent, supervises the work and administration of the subcontractors. SIGAL also regularly performs Construction Management "at risk" contracts.
General Contracting
SIGAL has the ability to provide a full range of general contracting services including but not limited to utilizing stipulated sum, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), or cost plus contracts. In this case, the owner will have a contract directly with SIGAL who will hold all of the trade subcontracts and manage the construction process.

Unlike many of our competitors, SIGAL does not self-perform any trade work, which benefits the client in two ways: SIGAL's budgets are not skewed by unfair markups of its own work, and subcontractors recognize that they are not in competition with SIGAL and because of this turn in more competitive pricing the first time around.
